Annual Australia Day Long Weekend Event
Part of the Summer of Pinball Series - events every weekend in January!
$50 main tournament event entry, or FREE for invitees.
Max of 40 players.
How to get an invite to waive the entry fee? Every pinball tournament we run throughout the year will award points to players. The top 32 highest ranking players will be invited to the playoffs after the conclusion of the years tournaments.
Players have until 2 weeks before the event to confirm attendance, unconfirmed spots will be opened up for anybody to join the tournament. Some wildcard entries may open up early if someone lets us know they cant make it earlier. 8 spots are open for anyone to purchase tickets from day one.
The more events you play in the higher your chances of ranking high enough to be invited, also winning a tournament gives you extra points and really good odds at ranking high enough to be invited.
All tournaments run by the museum during the year are counted towards the invitational.
The 32 Invitees also receive a giftbag including limited edition commemorative souveniers.
Big prizes up for grabs!

The APM Invitational event has been held on the Australia Day Long Weekend every year so far, but is that the future plan?
We would like to say yes, but there are a couple of years where we are uncertain about the best plan.
2026 - Australia Day falls on a Monday making it a long weekend.
2027 - Australia Day falls on a Tuesday, meaning it will not be an official long weekend, but we have noticed in previous years a lot of people will take the Monday off of work and create their own super long weekend, so we will still do our Australia Day Long Weekend event at this time.
2028 - Australia Day falls on a Wednesday (currently undecided on how we will schedule this one)
2029 - Australia Day falls on a Friday making it a long weekend.
2030 - Australia Day falls on a Saturday. In most of Australia if a public holiday falls on a weekend the following Monday is the observed public holiday, so yes it will be a long weekend.
2031 - Australia Day falls on a Sunday. In most of Australia if a public holiday falls on a weekend the following Monday is the observed public holiday, so yes it will be a long weekend.
2032 - Australia Day falls on a Monday making it a long weekend.
